Artist Statement
Simone Pereira Hind's artistic practice transforms the mundane paraphernalia of domestic life into art objects that express the rapturous side of her nature. When overwhelmed by the experience of being a Parent, she makes a meditative space for herself in which anything can, and will, happen.

Previous career
From 1984 - 1998 I had a successful career as a casting director (formerly known as Simone Ireland) working primarily in feature films.

In 1998 I was an agent for writers and directors at the William Morris Agency in London but resigned in 1999 to go travelling with my partner and subsequently start a family and a new career.
